just another picture from another trip out to the black rock.. taken from a moving car on a bumpy dirt road...

(spent about three hours soaking in a hot spring on an absolutely clear evening. saw the milky way 'n shit. it was like the scene in immortal beloved where dave beethoven is sitting in the pond at night and the stars are reflecting in the water. it was awesome.)

Desert Ray used to come into our store from time to time. We called him Stringman, cause he had everything on his person, wallet, watch, keys, sunglasses, notebook etc. tied on with pieces of string. Said he would lose all his possessions if he didn't attach them. He had a tendancy to lay things down and then forget them. Haven't seen him for a quite a while, he may have returned to South America.
