oooh.. palm trees..

Posted by Hello

well. i just spent a weekend in california. the bay area. or as they refer to it The City. i saw palm trees.

i also saw a whole saturday spent in the confines of the burning man office for the annual staff meeting. which was good. i've never attended (usually i'm too far away to get down to sf) and felt like my presence was needed even if it was just so everyone knows that i actually do work for the event before i get out there..

it was nice to see everybody that i haven't seen since september, especially my pal Pearl, who is still a bit shaken up by the tsunami experience he had. (he's written it down, it's a harrowing tale and if anyone wants to read it, lemme' know and i'll send it over.) he was in thailand in one of the hardest hit areas. he still has nightmares and wakes up in the middle of the night to find himself running down the stairs with shoes in his hand.. as he tells it, "and.. they're not my shoes.."

i missed being an extra in a zombie movie by just a smidgeon. my pal frog spent two afternoons/evenings either being beaten up as a zombie or beating up zombies. it sounded fun. i could've made my big break into the entertainment industry. ha.

it's always nice to be away from your abode for a few days. and then come back and it's clean. (yay for people who clean when you're gone!) i'm not a fan of the leaving and coming back to a mess. not a fan a'tall. or as mr. horse says "no sir... i don't like it".

yeah. so it was good. the drive was good. the weather was good. the meeting was good. life is good.

Well it sure sounds good from here.

I like what you have going on here. I find myself posting pictures and then trying to find something to say about them. You on the other hand, have a much better handle on all this. You've found the perfect way to illustrate your very pathetic life.

Bwah-hah-hah. San Francisco. Very nice -- palm trees. It's 64 degrees in Sandpoint and it's Feb. 1. It's unprecedented. I had a barbecue last week. Outside in the sun. Very weird. BOOLA!
